Hi,

I am still using cakelive for DOS, as it is never fails.

I am however sick of carrying around 2 off Toshiba 3200 SX computers which run DOS only and were christened luggables when they came out.

It annoys me immensly that later versions of cakewalk did not accommodate the requirements of users who wanted to sequence live.

I am aware that version 7 of cakewalk had a playlist, but has the quirk of starting any sequence from the time of the track that it was saved. e.g. if saved at bar 20, this is where the sequence would start.

I picked up on your thread re V3.0. Does this do the same ?.

Karl,

Have you tried running your DOS version of Cakewalk in a DOS window on a Windows pc?  I don't know what resolution it uses, but you can probably get it to run on a Windows 2000 pc.  WinXP is a bit more restrictive about DOS screen resolution.

Regards,

Ken

I Have cakewalk Pro 9 and cakewalk 2002, is there a difference with cakewalk Pro 3.0???

If so What and where can I get it??

My Pro 9 version and 2002 version both have players called a virtual jukebox is this different from the player in 3.0?

I Need a Live midi player that can display BOTH the info page and has a screen for.kar midi files each time you start a new sequence

I typed in the words and chords in the info page and each time I start a new sequence the info page which i have assigned to the second monitor output of my laptop with a 90 degree rotated display driver shows my lyrics and chords for each song

It works ok but will not play .kar files to show the scrolling words
I have to use vanbrascos midi player for that and some times i get the cakewalk player locks up with midi data in the buffer and screws up the vanbrasco player

I would like no i NEED a player that does BOTH and has a multiple midi file list for my different show sets, genras and song groups

HELP Please

The post is a couple years old, but I'll throw my two cents in anyway since I'm an IT guy.

1. In microsoft XP, Start > Run > msconfig

2. Open the Startup tab and remove everything you don't need and want

3. Same thing for the Services tab, but don't remove any of the "Microsoft" services

TRAN TRAX

I have the whole system, but I use sonar V-7 and I would love to change to something that I can set up song sets with. How do I go about getting Cakewalk Professional 3.0? I have looked for it on net and can not find it. Thanks!
