| Or just not much to say about it? I am looking at purchasing it. But I'm not sure if it's right for me.

| What are you trying to do that requires Ableton? And what hardware are you running with it (or planning to run with it?).

My Buddy from new orleans did use it but now he uses cubase. He writes dance music (trance) and he loves using cubase for that.

| Yup, I'm a Cubase4 guy myself, and love it. Never written any trance though...

Me either, I don't know much about it except that its NOT "happy techno" (Major cords). I use whatever is avalible since I don't own anything myself. I like cubase for midi though, I know you can use ableton live as a plug in for Protools. just like you can use reason I guess.

yeah i've used it , it's handy for loop manipulation(warping, etc) but it's kinda stuck there ..and quite hard to use(without a midi controller)

| Ableton's best if you need lots of MIDI loops. I've use it to control drums and synths. You can get things going very easy with Ableton. But its difficult for long drawn out sequences.
