I purchased five songs from the site. I started with "Boogie Oogie Oogie" as a test song for my environment. I opened the MIDI file on my newly purchased Macbook Pro laptop using the Logic Pro software. I have a Yamaha Clavinova CVP-307M connected to the Macbook using a Firewire box from M-Audio (Firewire 410).

When I open the MIDI file in the Logic Pro software, I see the following tracks listed in the "Arrange" window:

Track 1: Orchestra Fl... (I also see an EXS symbol to the left of the instrument name)
Track 2: GM Device 10
Track 3: GM Device 2
Track 4: GM Device 3
Track 5: Electric Piano (EVP symbol appears)
Track 6: GM Device 5
Track 7: Muted Elect... (EXS symbol)
Track 8: GM Device 7
Track 9: D6 Clavinet (EVD symbols)
Track 10: GM Device 9
Track 11: Music Box (ES2 symbol)
Track 12: Silicon Strings (ES2 symbol)
Track 13: GM Device 13
Track 14: GM Device 14
Track 15: Church Bell
Track 16: GM Device 16

When I hear the song being played back through the Yamaha Clavinova, I do not hear any percussion. Why is that?

Also, what are the meanings of the symbols, such as EVD, ES2, EXS, for example?
