Hello. I am currently using a Triton LE 61 as my 'sound module'. When I download midi files from the web then play them on my Triton LE (via smartcard) some sound fine and others sound awful. Why is this?:

Firstly - are you putting the LE into GM mode before playing your files through it?

Cheers, Dave.

I am now! Still, some when played are awesome sounding while others are not as "in your face" or require me to turn up the volume to get them to sound say like the onle I just got done playing.

Do you know if all your MIDI files that you're downloading are General MIDI (GM) files?

Dave.

Nope. I go to various sites. Run them and see if I think I am going to like them. If I do, I download them to my laptop and change certain tracks in Cakewalk using my Triton LE. Some have sysex settings and some don't. If they don't, I create a sysex with a GM Reset.
