4 Week Logic Express/ Pro

This 4 Week 4 day (2hrs/day) hands-on IN HOME course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic user interface of Logic Pro, as well as how to create a customized audio and midi configuration that will seamlessly integrate with their own personal production studio. Students will create their own song using Logic Pros comprehensive array of software instruments, Apple Loops and DSP effects. In depth lessons will cover MIDI and audio recording, streamlined editing and arrangement techniques, user defined key commands, automation, scoring to picture and surround mixing. This class is designed for those that want to learn music production and composition using Logic Pro.

Logic's newbie friendliness

I was considering buying a Mac to use Logic for my work, but I rarely use Macs and I have only ever used Sonic Home Studio on the PC (which did indeed give me many problems). So I was wondering if anyone knew how easy/difficult the switch will be for a noob of Macs and Logic to make the switch. How different are the two groups of hardware and software, and are there any suggestions to help a newbie out? Thanks

Apple Logic 8?

The way apple are evolving at the moment, they are putting out significantly chaged hardware and sofware in each product range it seams once a year, the new ipods unvaled last week, the mac book and mac book pro, the powermac, the switch to intel, so how long is it going to be till we see logic 8? What changes can we expect to see, what would we like to see, is it going to sway the way logic 7 did and be the next step up from garage band or are they going to push it back towards to top end users.

Can we expect to see more convolution technology from apple such as a competitor for the liquid mix, with vintage compressors and preamp models, an ampfarm style convolution software guitar proccessor?
