Well priced program for imbedding lyrics to midi file.

Is there a good software program that allows me to input imbedded lyrics to standard midi files? I run Digital Performer 5 and it does not support lyric input. Cakewalk/ Sonar does but I have a Mac and Sonar is for PC only. I sure could use some help if someone has time.

Newbie here. Question about Sonar 7. Your Thoughts

I recently purchased a midi file off the site. It sounds great on my yamaha psr E403. I'm testing out the demo of Sonar 7, and when I play the midi file I purchased I do not hear the drum part of the midi sequence. Is there some kind of patches I need to download or any clue as to why I do not hear the drum portion. All the synths, cymbals, etc are there except drums. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the best midi software for live performance. I have a three piece band where we use midi for bass, drums, lights and background intruments (live keyboards, guitar, vocals, horns). I have been using Cakewalk Professional 3.0 for years because it has the "Play List" feature that allows me to start a set and play non-stop songs for our 45 minute set. It also let's me add songs on the fly and instananeously jump to another song (pre-load) while we are performing. We don't trigger samples or do other more in-depth stuff so I want to keep it simple. I would be willing to move up to Sonar if the program retains some simplicity and has kept the Play List feature. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you!

I'm a midi file user only, I buy them and use them as backing to my band.

I play guitar in a duo/trio band with midi backing tracks, just like hundreds of other players do these days. We always edit the file to suit our needs, thats changing key and deleting the tracks not needed etc.

The problem we all have is, if the song starts with a guitar and many if not most do, and the guitar track is removed from the midi file, we have little hope of starting in time if there is NO INTRO BEATS with the midi file. Do some composers think the files are only used in karaoke?

I use a professional midi file player by the way, it's a 'Voice Systems Genius' It cost a fortune and has a super sound engine and editing features, but can't add an intro to a midi file. I have a distrust of laptop computers in a live show.

Any suggestions gladly appreciated.

Hey everyone I am kinda new to the whole music production program thing. I have Reason 3.0 right now and was thinking of upgrading to Sonar 7. I want to use an external keyboard for live performance for its vocoder. My main questions are...

Is it possible to do live audio through reason

What is the best program to run midi-out on?

Need Help with Reason Install

I need to reinstall my copy of Reason 3.0 on my new laptop but I lost the 3rd CD that came with the package. It was the Factory Sound Bank CD. I was able to obtain a copy from a friend but the CD "title" was named wrong and the Reason installer does not recognize it. For example the second Cd "Orkester Sound Bank" is simply named "Orkester" when you look at it in (My computer). If anyone can just give me the title of the third CD for Reason I can re-burn it and name it correctly. Please help!

Yamaha's Studio Manager software

I have a Yamaha Motif ES rack that I love but I do not love the Studio Manager program offered by Yamaha that can be used to edit this sound module. So far I edit effects with the front buttons. I just wish I could hear someone say that they like the software so I would know that it does not have bugs in it.

Virtual Drummers

Want to know if anyone has any good suggestions for Virtual Drummer plug-ins. I've tried out BFD, but it seems to run a bit slow on my machine. I am running a laptop with about 756 megs of RAM. But, Protools and Reason run fine together. Any other suggestions? I've been interested in Groove Agent, but there isn't a demo available. Cool

MIDI KEYBOARD PROGRAM TO CHANGE KEYBOARD KEYS

MY friend uses midi files on his electric keyboard. He saves them on floppy disc and then playes them through his keyboard so he can play stuff over the top of them.

He them puts them back into the computer via floppy disc to change the keys and edit them etc.

The old program he used was Ausiostation by Voyetra but this was the 1995 version running windows 98 (this program wont work on his new PC which has windows xp) and I dont think their current version of audiostation does the same thing.

Basically i need a program that will display a keyboard on screen and will play midi files and enable my friend to change the keyboard keys and manipulate the mifi files.

I hope someone knows what i mean.

Need Help with Macbook - Edirol interface

I'm a 11 year old that is trying to set up a edirol pcrm80 with a macbook. I loaded the driver for the keyboard. the question is do I need a "MIDI application" to allow my keyboard to work with apples garage band???
