I am a piano player and want to record some of my own music. I understand the basics of recording to a point but am confused. When I record from my keyboard into the pc sound card in MIDI or digital audio, I only get the basic Grand Piano sound. why? I want to record the other sounds i.e voice, choir, etc, etc. I do not know how to arm different tracks from my Yamaha keyboard. Actually I am looking for a basic , comprehensive text book showing how to use MIDI and audio. I have purchased SONOR book, etc. and it is all confusing to me. I emaile Cakewalk and ask for some directions but never get basic answers.

Is it possible to comvert MIDI, MP3 or wav downloaded songs to SMF format?

How do you get the different sounds that I get on the keyboard to record?

Is there a basic manual someone can recommend?

Thank you.

Mr King

quality

I record from my house using Adobe, and I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly to do inorder to get studio quality out of my music

Adobe Audition (the late cool edit)

does anyone have any experience using midi boards and adobe audition? just needed a little help as i'm just stepping away from analog. thanks
