| What about outboard gear? Do you have any? Some nice Mic Pre's, compressors, effects processors, EQ's? Also, can you really get enough work in SW Michigan? I work at a very large studio in Chicago, and we have been really slow these days. Nice mic collection.

That is a nice collection of microphones. The larger studios in Omaha (where I live) keep pretty busy, but it's a lot of commercial work during the day and musicians recording albums on the evenings and weekends. One of the more prominent studios in town has become very heavily involved with mostly mastering projects recorded eleswhere, both locally and nationally. The advent of the home studio, no matter how it's outfitted, has had a big impact on how and where most of our local talent records their releases. Anyway, if your goal is to provide the ability to make a high quality recording at an affordable price, you look like you're well on your way!
Peace,
Kronch

I'd like to know how the SSL AWS900 works for you. Seems like a good deal but I haven't really heard any feedback about it. So if or when you get it let me know what you think of it.

| Hey Mike I noticed that you said you worked in Chicago. I currently live in Eastern Iowa and there is not a lot...in fact..I would say nearly no work as far as audio engineering goes around here. How big of an industry is it in Chitown?
